After 15 years of dedicated training in Silat Suffian Bela Diri (SSBD) and 12 years of teaching this renowned system on a weekly basis, I have reached a significant milestone in my martial arts journey. With great respect for my teacher, Maul Mornie, and the strong foundation SSBD has provided, I am proud to announce the creation of Silat Warisan Aliran Tua (S.W.A.T)—a new chapter in the evolution of silat.

Our Four Disciplines

At Warisan International Martial Arts Academy, we now offer weekly classes in four disciplines:

All traditional training methods, footwork, principles, strategies, skills, and drills from SSBD are the backbone of S.W.A.T. This system is deeply rooted in weapon-based training, emphasizing the principles of the knife and machete.

The effective techniques of SSBD, including bone-crushing, muscle-tearing, tendon-snapping counters, entries, and finishers, remain central to our training and have proven their worth time and again.

S.W.A.T goes beyond SSBD by incorporating knowledge from other authentic and ancient silat styles from Borneo. This approach enhances skills and broadens perspectives while respecting traditional roots.

To develop true warriors, we include sparring under high-stress and pressure-filled scenarios. This ensures your techniques are not only artistic but also practical and effective when they matter most.
